Your job supports your family. Chores are for the wife. The work you do, that’s for you and God.
Get out of the house and out of your head and join us. Come discover the peace that comes from building, repairing or restoring things. In my experience, when a man dedicates himself to making something better he also gets a little better in the process.
A place for brotherhood and working to build something better.
Get Inspired
Guys in the Garage is a place for men who think the new definition of what a man should be isn’t for us. Its for men who feel like hard days work is good for the soul, that brotherhood is important, that a man should be responsible for his actions and the well being of his family. My goal is to help men find their way back to that by getting them back in the garage and working with their hands. When God created man he instilled him with the desire to create, build and restore. If you already doing that I encourage you share it. If you’re not, I’d love to help you get started.
If turning wrenches or soldering copper isn’t your thing dont fret, there are thousands of things a man can do to feel good about himself and help others. It could be working on cars, working with wood or painting like Bob Ross. It really doesn’t matter as long as you put down your phone, get off the couch and create or repair something!

Hebrews 3:4 Every house is built by man; but he that built all things is God.

In my Garage
A man needs something bigger than him to keep him going. He needs a purpose, a thing that drives him to be better today than his best was yesterday. We all need something that keeps us going when it’s hard and and gives us a reason see things through to the end. When that thing is tangable, when it’s something anyone can experience and can be shared with others, the love and passion you put into it now exists in the world and that’s a good thing.
For me that passion lies in customizing old things with engines, especially bikes. Because of this I always seem to have a backlog of things I’m working on. The in my garage section is where you will find the stuff I finished, my current projects and the ones I haven’t gotten to….. yet.
My garage is where I find it easiest to cut through the crap that life throws at me. It’s where I clear my head, and the one place I can always find God. I’ve learned more in the garage than I have anywhere else. It’s my refuge, my workshop, and my sanctuary. Its where I bring the best of what I can do into the world and HOPEFULLY inspire others to do the same and in the process they may too find their way God.
I’m not an expert in anything, I’m just a guy in a garage doing what I love. I pray is this will inspire others to share their projects no matter how big or small. We all have to start somewhere, and getting advice and encouragement as you go is a great way to go from a hobbyist to a craftsman.
Build, Repair, Restore – Together
On a basic level there are things a man should know how to do. If you cant change a tire, build a shelf or clear a drain you ought to. With the advancements in technology and the prosperity that has come to us the idea of self reliance and the ability to do things for ourselves have all but disappeared. That ain’t right and It’s about time we fix it.
I always figured that if someone else can do something then I can too. Plumbers, mechanics and carpenters aren’t any different than you. They just know different things, things anyman can learn. I aim to create a place a man can go to learn and grow, as a man, craftsman and Christian.
In my mind men need a place that allows them to collaborate with like-minded men in our community. A place where a man can show others what he’s working on and allow others who want to learn a skill try to find a mentor to help them along.
On occasion there are times when a man needs a good group Godly friends that aren’t afraid to keep him inline, to tell him when he’s wrong, to share his struggles with and who are there to help him when he can’t do it alone.

Get off the couch and back in the garage!
A man’s hands were meant to build, work and create, not to do the nasty stuff you’ve been doing with them. It’s time to get them dirty the right way, It’s time to build something.
